The European Jewish Congress (EJC) expresses startle and indignation during a preference by a Paris Court of Appeal dogmatic that Kobili Traoré, a killer of Sarah Halimi was not criminally obliged for his actions.

Traoré assaulted Ms. Halimi during her home in Paris, on Apr 4th 2017, violence her viciously while cheering “Allahu Akbar” and reciting Koranic verses. He afterwards threw her off her patio to her death.

The probity followed a argumentative opinion of dual psychiatric examiners who claimed that Traoré was too inebriated from smoking cannabis to be hold responsible.

“This shameful preference opens a doorway to large-scale impunity”, Dr. Moshe Kantor, President of a EJC, said. “The probity has sent a summary to criminals that they will be means to travel giveaway from a many iniquitous crimes by holding bootleg substances.”

Francis Kalifat, President of a Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF) declared: “Is an antisemitic crime a usually crime that is immune by a law since of large drug-taking, since in all other crimes a law would cruise that to be an aggravating circumstance?”

“We mount in oneness with a family of Sarah Halimi, that has been denied probity by this unintelligible decision”, Dr. Kantor concluded.
