Expensive war: soaring jet fuel prices double the cost of Israel’s Iran strikes

  • March 24, 2026

The Iranian missile strike on a Bazan refinery last week provided the Revolutionary Guards with images that could boost morale among the Iranian public. However, it does not appear to have had a significant impact on Israel’s fuel market. Damage to the facilities themselves can be repaired within 24 hours. An external gas pipeline belonging to the state-owned Israel Natural Gas Lines (INGL), which supplies natural gas for refinery operations, was damaged and will take several days to fix.
