Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni pronounced on Friday a European Union would confirm during a subsequent assembly on a common position in response to US President Donald Trump’s preference to levy tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.
Trade process was a categorical subject of a phone call on Friday between Gentiloni and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, Gentiloni pronounced in a statement.
“Tariffs are not a right trail to take,” Gentiloni pronounced during a discussion, though combined it was “important to continue discourse with a United States.”
“We will confirm on a common position to take during a subsequent European Council meeting,” he said.
