Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly criticized Transportation Minister Bezalel Smotrich while vocalization to US congressmen, distorting Smotrich’s remarks on halakha (Jewish law) in a State of Israel.
During a debate in Jerusalem progressing this week, Smotrich had pronounced that “we all wish a State of Israel to follow a law of a Torah, we only can’t since there are people who consider differently and we need to get along with them.”
Channel 12 presented footage from a primary minister’s remarks to 40 congressmen, all from a Democratic party, during that he said: “A member of a coalition, not from a Likud though from another party, has pronounced that he would like Israel to be a halakhic state. Well, that is pristine and complete nonsense.”
“It’s pristine BS,” Netanyahu continued, adding that “No one can demonstrate to that some-more than a recently-appointed probity apportion from a Likud” Amir Ohana, who presented a check currently “for concept adoption by relatives regardless of gender.”
“Some halakhic state. This is ridiculous,” Netanyahu said.
