The New York prosecutor’s bureau has cold an interest to extend a judgment of a former executive during Turkey’s state-owned lender Halkbank, a Turkish state-run Anadolu news group pronounced on Friday.
A US justice condemned Hakan Atilla, an executive from Halkbank, to 32 months in jail in May for assisting Iran hedge US sanctions in a box that has stretched already moving ties between NATO allies Ankara and Washington.
Anadolu, though citing sources, pronounced a prosecutor’s bureau had been asked by a justice to benefaction sum of a interest by Dec. 6 though that a interest had after been withdrawn.
