New Yorker convicted of providing support to Hezbollah

A Lebanese male vital in New York was convicted on Thursday of providing element support to Hezbollah, according to a Associated Press. Providing money, goods, materials or training to terrorists is crime taboo by a US Patriot Act.

Ali Kourani, creatively from Lebanon, was convicted of assisting a militant group. He was also pronounced to have “surveilled American targets, including troops and law coercion comforts in New York City,” according to AP.

Kourani could face a life-sentence. His sentencing is scheduled to take place in September.  Kourani’s lawyers contend he will appeal.

Authorities pronounced that Kourani had perceived troops training abroad and schooled how to use a rocket propelled grenade, a news stated.

The AP detected that Kourani came to a US legally in 2003.
