Police respond to Pittsburgh synagogue ‘active shooter’

Oct 27 – Police in Pittsburgh surrounded a synagogue on Saturday after reports of an active shooter during a building in a city’s eastern Squirrel Hill neighborhood, internal TV news images showed.

The Pittsburgh Public Safety Department pronounced on Twitter that there was an active shooter in a area of Wilkins Avenue and Shady Ave. TV news footage showed military during that plcae outward a Tree of Life synagogue, that describes itself on the website as a traditional, on-going and egalitarian congregation. Few other sum were immediately available.
