Seven Polish miners blank after upheaval hits spark mine

WARSAW – Seven Polish spark miners were blank on Saturday after a upheaval strike a cave owned by JSW, a European Union’s largest coking spark producer, officials said.

The upheaval took place in a Borynia-Zofiowka-Jastrzebie spark cave in southern Poland.

“According to latest information, 7 employees are missing,” a mouthpiece for a WUG mining office, Anna Swiniarska-Tadla, told state news group PAP.

Eight teams of rescuers were during a cave aiming to locate a blank miners, a mouthpiece said. High levels of methane in a atmosphere in a area of a upheaval were hampering a rescue operation.
