At first glance, it’s hard to understand the purpose of the Arabic-language Facebook page, “The October 7 Millionaires.” It features clearly fabricated images of traders from Gaza exchanging money with senior officials in the Israeli defense establishment, who are responsible for trade with the Strip. The images are accompanied by captions such as: “The price was a villa in the U.S. as a bribe to a person named Avi (full name withheld), in exchange for facilitating the entry of goods to Hamas so it could regain its former strength. Will we see October 7 repeat itself?”
