Moovit updates app to assist Eurovision visitors

The Israeli-made transportation app Moovit has released some updates to the popular traveling tool to assist tourists who have arrived in Israel for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Moovit is an app used around the world that provides users with information about public transportation.

The special Eurovision version of the app was made in coordination with the Tel Aviv municipality.

On the Eurvoision version of Moovit, the app will list all bus and train lines in English letters as opposed to only displaying them in Hebrew.

Likewise, the app has also been updated to provide details of special transportation lines providsed by the municipality that can take visitors to the Eurovision events.

For current users of Moovit, the changes will only occur on the app by updating to version 5.33, but new users who download it now will receive all the Eurovision updates.

Moovit’s tools will also be integrated onto the website of the Tel Aviv municipality to assist tourists.

“We are proud to be part of this historical event here in Tel Aviv,” said Yovav Meydad, chief marketing and growth officer for Moovit. “The version is expected to ease the travel experience of guests and participants of the song contest via public transport, allowing them to travel in Tel Aviv in an easy and convenient manner.”
