Omar apologizes after House leaders reject comments as anti-Semitic

Democratic lawmaker Ilhan Omar apologized on Monday after celebration leaders cursed her comments about a pro-Israel run in a United States as regulating anti-Semitic stereotypes.

“Anti-Semitism is genuine and we am beholden for Jewish allies and colleagues who are educating me on a unpleasant story of anti-Semitic tropes,” Omar, who was inaugurated for a initial time to a US House of Representatives in November, pronounced in a statement.

“My goal is never to provoke my voters or Jewish Americans as a whole,” she said, adding that she “unequivocally” apologized.
