A 16-year-old boy was lightly injured in a stabbing at a Netanya high school on Sunday, the latest in a serious of violent incidents in the education system.
According to the Ynet news site, three students involved in the stabbing fled the school, one of them on a moped.
The report said the teen was stabbed in the leg and was taken to Laniado Medical Center in the city for treatment.
Police said they have opened an investigation.
The incident came just days after a 16-year-old boy was seriously injured in a stabbing at a Rehovot high school. Police said four suspects — three minors and an 18-year-old — fled the scene but were arrested shortly afterwards.
The father of a student in the Rehovot school told the Kan public broadcaster that there had been frequent incidents there. “There are rival gangs here, children of criminals from rival crime families,” he said.
