3 men drown at beaches in Tel Aviv, Bat Yam in the last 24 hours

A man drowned Tuesday in the central coastal city of Bat Yam, the third drowning death in the past day.

Paramedics tried to resuscitate the man, who was reportedly in his 50s, but were ultimately forced to pronounce him dead.

The incident came after a man in his 40s drowned at a beach in nearby Tel Aviv overnight. First responders from the Magen David Adom ambulance service tried to resuscitate the man and took him to the city’s Ichilov Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The incidents came after a man in his 50s drowned in Bat Yam Monday.

Citing figures from Magen David Adom, Channel 12 news said 37 Israelis have drowned since the start of the swimming season in March.
