In pictures: Israel-Gaza conflict sparks pro-Palestinian protests around the world

  • May 14, 2021

As Israel continues its air campaign against militants in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip, protests expressing solidarity with the Palestinians living in the impoverished enclave have erupted in London, Istanbul, Los Angeles and other major cities around the world.

The casualties have mounted as the conflict inches closer to full-blown war between Israel and the Palestinian militants. More than 100 people have died in Israel’s airstrikes and the militants’ rocket fire in less than a week, many of them children.
