Victims of drownings, highway injuries, brawls treated by MDA during fast

Magen David Adom staffers and volunteers were called to 2,326  events of people feeling unwell, accidents and women in labor during a quick of Yom Kippur.

Of these, 1,596 were hospitalized compared to 2,019 on Yom Kippur a year ago.

A sum of 249 people fainted, suffered dehydration or differently felt unwell. Eleven people had to be resuscitated. MDA ambulances took 136 women in labor to broach in hospital, while 6 women didn’t arrive in time and delivered during home in Jerusalem (two), Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, Bnei Brak and Ra’anana.

There were a vast series of accidents on near-empty roads involving children on bikes (including electric bicycles), skates, skateboards, rollerblades and other wheeled objects. Some were treated on site, while others had to be hospitalized. A 13-year-old child who fell from his bike on Route 471 nearby Kiryat Ono was taken in assuage condition with conduct injuries to a Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Campus.

A child aged 3 and a half from Beersheba was strike in a conduct from a flitting bicycle and taken to Soroka University Medical Center in assuage condition. An eight-year-old child from Ramat Yishai fell from his bike and was taken to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa in assuage condition.

An 11-year-old lady who crashed into a parked automobile and suffered conduct injuries in Kiryat Ata was taken in assuage condition to Rambam as well.

In addition, 3 people in their 20s were killed in a head-on collision on Route 25 nearby Dimona. A sum of 20 people were harm in highway accidents during a fast.

A immature male who scarcely drowned during a Gofra Beach during a Kinneret was resuscitated by paramedics and taken to Poriya Hospital in Tiberias in critical condition.

MDA granted 136 units of blood and blood components to hospitals during a fast.
