Life off the grid: Meet five Israeli families that moved to the middle of nowhere

Far from civilization, almost off the edge of the map, dozens of families in Israel have opted to live on the border with Egypt or somewhere with a view of the wilderness of the Judean Desert. As far as they’re concerned, it’s better than living in a cramped apartment in the big city, where – God forbid – they might just happen to be forced into a conversation with a neighbor in the lobby.
