  • March 17, 2021

A 63-year-old Israeli businessman was named on Wednesday as one of the three victims of a Monday light plane crash in southern Florida.

The airplane was a private plane owned by businessman Yaakov Nachum, and had gone through several repairs before takeoff, according to the Ynet news site.

A few minutes after takeoff, the plane lost altitude and hit a power line.

It crashed onto a moving car, killing a 4-year-old boy and severely injuring his mother.

The third victim was also on the plane, according to CNN.

Nachum’s business revolved around car trading and repair. In recent years he expanded into the light airplane business and got a pilot’s license.

He lived in Jerusalem in the past, but moved to Miami about 30 years ago.

Nachum is survived by his wife, three daughters and two granddaughters.
