A man who apologized as he allegedly stole NIS 100 (approximately $29) from a grocery store in the central city of Bat Yam was set to be charged, police said Thursday.
In security footage from the store, the suspect was seen brandishing a small knife while expressing regret to the staff member.
The suspect entered the store and chose a number of items which he then placed on the counter in front of the staff member.
After a few seconds, he pulled a knife out of his pocket and waved it toward the woman.
